Divide over decimal…
Points of difference…
This Distance…
Measured in multiple instances…
Of misread misprints…
Facts and figures…
That obscure the bigger picture…
Part pieces of a whole…
Of nations and tribes…
Peoples all alive…
Wise words to know and learn…
Across this world…
That spins…spans…shapes…

Branches into metaphors…
From the core physics…
Distilled to the sciences…
Philosophies…
Alchemy…
Mystics…
All paths intrinsic…
To the human mind…
Heart, body and soul…
To boldly go…
Where no one had gone before…
And explore all the unknowns…
And return back home…
Whether from this dream…
Or far beyond our hopes and fears…
To realize we are all whole…
Forever from the same family tree…
Across this world and the cosmos…

Sea Me

I imagine an endless sea…
With a cool breeze…
And beneath..
The reefs…
Teem with so many sea creatures…
Living colorful lives…

While humanity resides above…
We take peeks below…
The clear waters…
Dotted with boats…
I have my own too…
But it’s more of a dinghy…

Bumping in the waves…
As I wave…
Big smile…
At my fellow human beings…
Do they see me…?

I imagine they do…
But maybe I’m not so important today…
Just like every other day…
As I pace and face my fate…

I won’t sink…
But instead I’ll be forced to live…
Forever on the brink…
Grow old and grey…
And lay alone…
At peace with my fate…
Floating in this sea…
As I see all this happiness around me…

The winds still carry the story…

Sweet Echo II {No More}

Remember…
Way back when…
You and me…
Never missed a beat…
Now I skip back each chance…
Just to see if she’s there…
Waiting for me…

Instead the winds greet me…
With the warm embrace of past memories…
But just as fate frees me…
Winds leave ever so swiftly…
Leaving this soul in pain…

Wondering when…
That chamber of echos…
Feels like your voice again…

Missing quotes..
Missing most…
Your sweet echo…]

Memories of you…
Form part of who I am…
If past tense…
Could be present once again…
But fate had other plans…

Faith lead me to believe in you and me…
Winds reminded me of your sweet embrace…
As if today’s pains began to dissipate
Into a cloud borne from all the self hate…
That had taken peace away from me…

Is it wrong to remember what once was?
